Degree in Pedagogy , as a university discipline, has its origins in 1904, with the creation of the Chair of Higher Pedagogy within the framework of doctoral studies at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Madrid, by Professor Manuel Bartolomé Cossío, who already taught a General Pedagogy course at the National Pedagogical Museum since 1901. In 1979, the specific degree in Educational Sciences was approved. Pedagogy studies are undergoing a transition and remodeling in order to respond to current demands on the training of effective professionals, who are responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating and improving educational systems and programs, teaching methods, teaching-learning resources, among others, at the European level. The Faculty of Education - Teacher Training Center, located on the Moncloa campus, has the appropriate material resources for teaching the Degree in Pedagogy: library, amphitheater, room with fixed seats, room for degrees, classroom with movable seats, laboratories, workshops, experimental spaces, computer rooms, music rooms, gym, Wi-Fi connection, etc.

Admission Requirements
To be admitted to this degree, you must meet the requirements for access to the University contemplated by current regulations: selectivity, International Baccalaureates, Validation agreements, access for people over 25 years of age, over 40 years of age, etc. You have all the details on the University Admissions page: ucm.es
In the case of non-native Spanish speakers, according to the Agreement of the Governing Council of January 29, 2019 (BOUC of February 7, 2019), which approves the Spanish language requirements for admission to Degree and Master's degree and linguistic/language skills, all students from non-Spanish-speaking countries or educational systems must prove a knowledge of Spanish according to the CEFR level B2, at the time of submitting the application for admission to the Degree.
