Degree in Sociology have been in existence for more than 35 years at the Complutense University of Madrid, a pioneer in its teaching. Sociology's general objective is to develop the theoretical and empirical foundations that allow scientific knowledge of societies. The analysis of social reality, from the theoretical and practical elaboration of sociological research, is based on the idea of describing and explaining the social world of which we are a part, as well as contributing to its improvement. Given that this degree will be taught at the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology, located on the Somosaguas campus, registered students will have access to all the material resources and services necessary for the development of the corresponding scientific and academic activities: library, multipurpose room , auditorium, hall of degrees, computer rooms, audiovisual media laboratories, Wi-Fi connection, cafeteria.

Admission Requirements
To be admitted to this degree, you must meet the requirements for access to the University contemplated by current regulations: selectivity, International Baccalaureates, Validation agreements, access for people over 25 years of age, over 40 years of age, etc. You have all the details on the University Admissions page: ucm.es
In the case of non-native Spanish speakers, according to the Agreement of the Governing Council of January 29, 2019 (BOUC of February 7, 2019), which approves the Spanish language requirements for admission to Degree and Master's degree and linguistic/language skills, all students from non-Spanish-speaking countries or educational systems must prove a knowledge of Spanish according to the CEFR level B2, at the time of submitting the application for admission to the Degree.
