Geography is a science of the territory, and therefore, naturalistic, environmental and social, with a theoretical aspect and another, increasingly important, practical. It provides the essential cultural elements to obtain a broad vision of the Earth, its realities, its problems and the risks that those who inhabit it run and, on the other hand, provides techniques and instruments to analyze and propose solutions that help to alleviate territorial problems. At the Complutense University, in 1968 the Geography Section was legally created within the Degree in Philosophy and Letters, and since 1993 it has been taught as independent studies. The Degree in Geography and Territory Planning aims to ensure a general and integrated education on the fundamental contents of the various thematic fields of geography. The facilities of the Faculty of Geography and History, located on the Moncloa campus, guarantee the quality of the studies: library, classrooms, amphitheatre, seating room, mobile seating room, assembly hall, graduation hall, laboratories, workshops, classroom computer, museum, etc.
