The Master's Degree in Electronic Commerce (MUCE) is an official master's degree that arises as a response to the enormous growth that the world of commerce and marketing has experienced through the internet, thanks to the improvement and speed of communications, and the increase and diversification of connected devices. Given the need for higher academic training for this type of business activity, the MUCE combines a double training aspect, business-commercial and technology, adapted to this environment. The purpose of the Master's Degree in Electronic Commerce is the training of highly qualified professionals to create and direct electronic commerce businesses within the European Higher Education Area and taking into account the specificity of postgraduate studies. Its objectives are:

  • Respond to existing training needs by facilitating knowledge of useful tools (both management and technological) for senior management decision-making in the current context of entities that operate via the Internet.
  • Offer an advanced training corpus of a higher nature that allows technical specialization and management of digital companies and institutions.
  • Create the conditions for the development of lines of research within the directive framework of the electronic commerce entity.

Admission Requirements

If you come from an EU country you must have a bachelor's degree from a Spanish university, or from a university in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

If you are a graduate from outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) you can access the university without the need to officially certify your degree, once the UCM has verified that your level of studies is equivalent to a bachelor's degree at a university in Spain. Access via this route does not in any case imply the official certification of your degree prior to starting your Masters course.
