The historical origin of the current Faculty of Law of the Complutense University of Madrid is located in the Faculty of Canons, one of those that began in 1508 the execution of the reform plan designed by Cardinal Francisco Ximénez de Cisneros. Since then, Degree in Law have developed constantly in it, in such a way that the existence of a permanent common thread that supposes a certain continuity between 1508 and the present times is undeniable, having trained many of the most distinguished jurists in it. The paramount importance of the legal professions in the sphere of the functioning of the State and its institutions, the progress of citizens in particular and in the order and well-being of society in general, the security of legal and economic traffic and the protection of the rights and freedoms of people, support the full relevance of legal studies. The Faculty of Law, located on the Moncloa Campus, has the necessary infrastructure to carry out the corresponding activities of the Degree in Law with quality guarantees: library, amphitheater classrooms, classrooms with fixed and mobile seats, study rooms, classrooms computers, Wi-Fi connection, cafeterias, dining room, etc. In addition, the facilities are adapted for use by people with disabilities.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to this degree, you must meet the requirements for access to the University contemplated by current regulations: selectivity, International Baccalaureates, Validation agreements, access for people over 25 years of age, over 40 years of age, etc. You have all the details on the University Admissions page: ucm.es

In the case of non-native Spanish speakers, according to the Agreement of the Governing Council of January 29, 2019 (BOUC of February 7, 2019), which approves the Spanish language requirements for admission to Degree and Master's degree and linguistic/language skills, all students from non-Spanish-speaking countries or educational systems must prove a knowledge of Spanish according to the CEFR level B2, at the time of submitting the application for admission to the Degree.
