Social Workers carry out their professional activity in various professional areas and areas of performance; international organisations, public administrations, universities, private companies (as an employee or in the free exercise of the profession) and within the framework of the Third Sector (associations, foundations, federations or other social organisations). The one which offers Degree in Social Work at the Complutense University is the first Faculty of Social Work in Spain, as well as being one of the largest, not only in Spain but in Europe, and has been training professionals with adequate qualifications for professional practice and a high demand from of the students. The Faculty of Social Work shares a building with the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology, located on the Somosaguas Campus, and has the necessary infrastructure and services for teaching the Degree: library, graduation hall, classrooms, computer rooms, seminars, Wi-Fi connection, cafeteria-dining room, etc.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to this degree, you must meet the requirements for access to the University contemplated by current regulations: selectivity, International Baccalaureates, Validation agreements, access for people over 25 years of age, over 40 years of age, etc. You have all the details on the University Admissions page: ucm.es

In the case of non-native Spanish speakers, according to the Agreement of the Governing Council of January 29, 2019 (BOUC of February 7, 2019), which approves the Spanish language requirements for admission to Degree and Master's degree and linguistic/language skills, all students from non-Spanish-speaking countries or educational systems must prove a knowledge of Spanish according to the CEFR level B2, at the time of submitting the application for admission to the Degree.
