The Degree in Geology provides knowledge of the physical, chemical and biological processes that take place on Earth, the structure and composition of the Earth and other planets, its history and the use of the present to understand the past and of the past to understand the present and, with all this, predict future behavior. The Geologist profession has a long tradition in Spain, Europe and the rest of the world. At the University of Madrid, scientific teaching began in 1845.
