The Degree in Translation and Interpreting responds to society's growing demand for studies that provide a good knowledge of both the student's own language and at least two foreign languages, while also looking at the needs of companies ( both translation and editorial, communication, etc.) of trained and competent professionals, capable of combining linguistic and computer notions, editing and proofreading, information and communication technologies and other professional tools, with different branches of knowledge, such as law, economics or the vast field of science. Since the implementation of these studies, the UCM has been teaching first the Bachelor's Degree and then the Degree in Translation and Interpreting at the CES Felipe II in Aranjuez, attached to the UCM. In September 2014, the Degree in Translation and Interpreting moved to the Moncloa Campus and began to be taught at the Faculty of Philology.
