The Master's Degree in Audiovisual Translation and Localization (UAM-UCM) (implemented in the 2018-2019 academic year) offers advanced, multidisciplinary and technological training in Translation. It trains professionals and researchers in the field of translation technologies and audiovisual translation through a comprehensive program. The study plan addresses three areas with growing demand: the different techniques and processes of audiovisual translation; the localization of content, products and digital services of all kinds; and the management of translation projects in language service providers. As a unifying element, the use of technologies prevails to reinforce productivity and quality, both in processes and in results. The specific orientation of the master consists of improving the practical execution of interlingual products and services, especially those in which computer applications and management processes are concerned. It is intended that graduates reach an advanced level of training and skills to perform tasks, while developing a capacity for analysis and quality orientation.

Admission Requirements

If you come from an EU country you must have a bachelor's degree from a Spanish university, or from a university in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

If you are a graduate from outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) you can access the university without the need to officially certify your degree, once the UCM has verified that your level of studies is equivalent to a bachelor's degree at a university in Spain. Access via this route does not in any case imply the official certification of your degree prior to starting your Masters course.
