The main justification for a Master's Degree in Written Historical Heritage with the intention of training professionals related to the study, cataloging and dissemination of written historical heritage is given by the relevance that it has within the Spanish and international cultural sphere, and the importance that its conservation, preservation, defense and dissemination in both public and private institutions. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, external internships may be carried out, among others, in the following institutions:

  • National Archaeological Museum.
  • Marqués de Valdecilla Historical Library.
  • Diocesan Archive of Madrid.
  • Regional Archive of the Community of Madrid.
  • Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
  • General Archive of the Complutense University.
  • Athenaeum of Madrid.
  • Lázaro Galdiano Foundation.

All the institutions mentioned are repositories of an enormous written historical heritage (library, documentary, epigraphic and numismatic) that will allow the Master's students to come into contact with original materials and become familiar with the work of the professionals of the written historical heritage and, together, the acquisition of the skills assigned to the External Practices, under the supervision and guidance of professionals from the corresponding institutions and the master's teaching staff.
