The fundamental objective of this Master's Degree in Environmental Geology is to address knowledge about climate change, geochemical cycles, sustainable management and conservation of water and soil quality, decontamination and remediation of water and soil, evaluation of environmental impacts, land use planning and restoration of degraded spaces, as well as the evaluation, management and mitigation of geological risks. The master provides tools and methodologies to study and diagnose problems, characterize cases and propose solutions. This knowledge will enable the student to carry out or direct Environmental Geology projects. Among the strengths of the master's degree, we can mention: a highly trained teaching staff; excellent equipment, material resources (classrooms, laboratories, library, etc.) and services (CAIs, bus, etc.); and high content of practical teachings (software management, laboratory and field practices).

Admission Requirements

If you come from an EU country you must have a bachelor's degree from a Spanish university, or from a university in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). 

If you are a graduate from outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) you can access the university without the need to officially certify your degree, once the UCM has verified that your level of studies is equivalent to a bachelor's degree at a university in Spain. Access via this route does not in any case imply the official certification of your degree prior to starting your Masters course.
