The Master's Degree in Introduction to Research in Mental Health is an official and blended interuniversity program, organized by research groups belonging to five Spanish Universities ( University of Cantabria (UC) ); Complutense University of Madrid (UCM); Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) ); University of Barcelona (UB) and University of Cadiz (UCA) ) and which are part of a national network research structure, known as CIBERSAM. Its mission is to improve clinical care related to mental health in our society through knowledge generated by innovation and translational research in psychiatry and neuroscience. The master is aimed at national and international students with an interest in research in psychiatry and mental health. The master's aims to train researchers in mental health, both in basic and clinical aspects, and to encourage exchange between work groups in mental health that facilitates the realization of joint projects. The subjects that make up the  curriculum  are taught by leading research groups in their area, with the aim of providing students with in-depth knowledge of the neurobiological, psychological, genetic and environmental bases of normal psychic activity and mental disorders, basis of treatment, as well as research methods in mental health.

Admission Requirements

If you come from an EU country you must have a bachelor's degree from a Spanish university, or from a university in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). 

If you are a graduate from outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) you can access the university without the need to officially certify your degree, once the UCM has verified that your level of studies is equivalent to a bachelor's degree at a university in Spain. Access via this route does not in any case imply the official certification of your degree prior to starting your Masters course.
