The Master's Degree in Auditing and Accounting of the Complutense University of Madrid aims to academically and professionally prepare future experts in accounting and account auditors, fulfilling the conditions established by the Institute of Accounting and Auditing of Accounts for the theoretical training programs for auditors and passing the first phase of the exam for legal access to auditing. The audit of accounts is a fundamental activity for the transparency and reliability of the financial information of companies, and is therefore inherent to the market economy system set forth in article 38 of the Spanish Constitution. Reliable financial information promotes a more efficient allocation of resources, a better functioning of financial markets and a fairer society. Given its importance, not only for the audited company, but also for third parties linked to the company and society in general, auditing is a profession whose activity is subject to public supervision and oversight (audit quality control) and in which legally defines the conditions that must be met for its exercise.

Admission Requirements

If you come from an EU country you must have a bachelor's degree from a Spanish university, or from a university in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

If you are a graduate from outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) you can access the university without the need to officially certify your degree, once the UCM has verified that your level of studies is equivalent to a bachelor's degree at a university in Spain. Access via this route does not in any case imply the official certification of your degree prior to starting your Masters course.
