The completion of the official Master's Degree in Gender Studies ensures mastery of the technical instruments to act on problems and inequalities according to sex/gender. In this way, students will be ensured that:
- Develop theoretical, analytical and critical capacity from a gender perspective, and understand its conjugation with other social differences.
- Master the methodological and instrumental, quantitative and qualitative theories and tools, which from the social sciences, humanities or health sciences, allow you to carry out studies and research, analyses, diagnoses and proposals for action in relation to gender equality.
- Train for the preparation and evaluation of Equality Plans in companies, public administrations and all types of private and public institutions.
- Deepen the knowledge and implementation of the areas of work and specific policies on women.
- Develop measures and actions in order to raise awareness in society in favor of equal opportunities.
- Promote the study of strategies and techniques that favor the negotiation and resolution of conflicts arising from social relations between women and men.

Admission Requirements
If you come from an EU country you must have a bachelor's degree from a Spanish university, or from a university in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
If you are a graduate from outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) you can access the university without the need to officially certify your degree, once the UCM has verified that your level of studies is equivalent to a bachelor's degree at a university in Spain. Access via this route does not in any case imply the official certification of your degree prior to starting your Masters course.
