The Master's Degree in Literary Studies (60 ECTS) allows a theoretical vision of literary phenomena, as well as analysis and research of the different European literatures from a comparative point of view. This profile is demanded by the Spanish university, but also by foreign universities that demand doctors with a high degree of specialization and scientific training, especially dedicated to the literary phenomenon. The proposed master covers the main branches of research in the theory of literature and comparative European literatures, as well as in their relationship, synchronic and diachronic, with the plastic arts, music and cinema. Due to its strong theoretical and methodological orientation, it can adequately serve its goal of high specialization in Literary Studies.

Admission Requirements
If you come from an EU country you must have a bachelor's degree from a Spanish university, or from a university in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
If you are a graduate from outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) you can access the university without the need to officially certify your degree, once the UCM has verified that your level of studies is equivalent to a bachelor's degree at a university in Spain. Access via this route does not in any case imply the official certification of your degree prior to starting your Masters course.
