History studies are institutionalized in the UCM since 1836. In 1875 its different sections are implanted, later they are integrated in the titles of Philosophy and Letters first and Geography and History later. In 1993 the current degree was created, independent of other studies. The scientific interest of the Degree in History is fully justified because its specific knowledge is supported by a wide and growing research activity, which generates theories and models of analysis transferable to national and international historical evolution. The facilities of the Faculty of Geography and History, located on the Moncloa campus, are adapted for use by disabled people and meet the necessary conditions for the teaching of studies with guarantees: library, amphitheater classrooms, classrooms with fixed seats , mobile seating room, laboratories, workshops, experimental spaces, study rooms, computer room, museum, Wi-Fi connection, etc.
