Philosophy, and more specifically moral philosophy, has a practical and applied dimension as a reason for being –that is, philosophy necessarily opens itself to society and culture–; on the other hand, we see how in society, in its institutions, in its professional organizations and in its different forms of expression, there is a clear concern for ethics (creating committees, advice, etc.). This university Master's Degree in Applied Ethics responds to this double movement: from philosophy to society and from society to philosophy –ethics–. From moral philosophy we offer knowledge, tools and devices capable of showing the "practical" value of philosophy and, at the same time, are a valuable and necessary resource to channel the ethical concerns that our societies live, feel and claim.

Admission Requirements
If you come from an EU country you must have a bachelor's degree from a Spanish university, or from a university in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
If you are a graduate from outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) you can access the university without the need to officially certify your degree, once the UCM has verified that your level of studies is equivalent to a bachelor's degree at a university in Spain. Access via this route does not in any case imply the official certification of your degree prior to starting your Masters course.
