Spain is the world's leading destination in holiday tourism and the second in number of arrivals and receipts, it employs more than 12% of the employed population and is equivalent to around 11% of Spanish GDP. In addition, it has a significant multiplier effect and strong implications for other strategic sectors in the country, such as construction, environment and health, among others. However, the Spanish tourism sector must manage those changes that allow it to continue growing in profitability and social value. To meet this challenge, it is essential to strengthen the training of highly qualified professionals. In this way, the Degree in Tourism of the Complutense University of Madrid aims to train these professionals capable of promoting the necessary improvements, both in the private and public spheres, that allow maintaining and promoting such an important sector for the Spanish economy. The Faculty of Commerce and Tourism, located at Avenida de Filipinas, 3 (close to the Moncloa campus), has sufficient resources to teach the Degree: library, assembly hall, language laboratories, workshops, multipurpose classrooms, study, computer rooms, Wi-Fi points, streaming rooms, etc.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to this degree, you must meet the requirements for access to the University contemplated by current regulations: selectivity, International Baccalaureates, Validation agreements, access for people over 25 years of age, over 40 years of age, etc. You have all the details on the University Admissions page: ucm.es

In the case of non-native Spanish speakers, according to the Agreement of the Governing Council of January 29, 2019 (BOUC of February 7, 2019), which approves the Spanish language requirements for admission to Degree and Master's degree and linguistic/language skills, all students from non-Spanish-speaking countries or educational systems must prove a knowledge of Spanish according to the CEFR level B2, at the time of submitting the application for admission to the Degree.
