The Doctoral Program in Education continues a centuries-old tradition of these studies, which began with the provision, in 1904, of the Chair of Higher Pedagogy in the Doctorate of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Madrid. In its current configuration, the Doctoral Program in Education integrates the different lines of advanced research that are carried out in the Faculty of Education - Teacher Training Center of the UCM, being endorsed by the proven experience of its researchers and by a consolidated research structure at the national and international level. The program offers doctoral students a series of activities with which to configure their training project in agreement with the tutor and the thesis supervisor. These will constitute, together with others that may be added outside the Program, the basis of the personalized record of the doctoral student's activities.

Access via this route does not in any case imply the official certification of your degree prior to starting your Masters course.
To complete your doctoral studies you will need to present a doctoral thesis consisting of an original work of research by the student in any field of knowledge.
