The Degree in Teacher in Primary Education , with its new regulatory framework, is determined in the Ministerial Order ECI/3857/2007 of December 27, published in the BOE no. 312 of December 29, 2007, and it is the only one that qualifies students to teach Primary Education. This title comes to replace the Diplomas that existed in the previous Plans and that were established by Decree 1140/1991 (BOE 10/11/1991). Primary Education is a compulsory educational stage, which is studied between the ages of six and twelve, structured in three cycles. The purpose of this stage is to contribute to the personal and social development of schoolchildren through teaching-learning processes in matters of artistic, scientific, ethical, linguistic, mathematical, motor and technological content, as well as through the appropriate tutoring action. . To effectively develop the educational processes of the different areas of this stage, teachers must acquire theoretical and practical training in accordance with the objectives set forth in the laws that regulate their functions.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to this degree, you must meet the requirements for access to the University contemplated by current regulations: selectivity, International Baccalaureates, Validation agreements, access for people over 25 years of age, over 40 years of age, etc. You have all the details on the University Admissions page: ucm.es

In the case of non-native Spanish speakers, according to the Agreement of the Governing Council of January 29, 2019 (BOUC of February 7, 2019), which approves the Spanish language requirements for admission to Degree and Master's degree and linguistic/language skills, all students from non-Spanish-speaking countries or educational systems must prove a knowledge of Spanish according to the CEFR level B2, at the time of submitting the application for admission to the Degree.
