This University Master's Degree in Hospital Clinical Optometry from the Complutense University of Madrid aims to provide the Optician Optometrist with the specialized training necessary to be able to carry out the specific tasks of their profession in both public and private Ophthalmology centers with a high level of specialization, knowing in depth the ocular pathologies and their exploration methods. This master's is intended to train and provide high qualifications to graduates in Optics and Optometry in care tasks typical of these professionals in hospital Ophthalmology services. For this, the master must train them to attend, in collaboration with the ophthalmologist, to patients with different types of pathologies and of any age exercising preventive work, of early detection and optometric treatment within multidisciplinary teams. At the end of the master the student will be highly trained to collaborate with the ophthalmologist in ophthalmological health care.

Admission Requirements

If you come from an EU country you must have a bachelor's degree from a Spanish university, or from a university in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). 

If you are a graduate from outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) you can access the university without the need to officially certify your degree, once the UCM has verified that your level of studies is equivalent to a bachelor's degree at a university in Spain. Access via this route does not in any case imply the official certification of your degree prior to starting your Masters course.
