The origin of Degree in Social Education in Spain dates back to the seventies, when various professionals appeared with the purpose of meeting the educational demands that have been emerging outside the school environment: specialized educators, whose work will focus primarily on adolescents and young people served juvenile centers; sociocultural animator, street educator or adult educator, among others, who carry out socio-pedagogical work with various social groups. Since its creation, the degree has always had great vitality and the demand for these studies has not stopped growing. Likewise, the professional spaces of the social educator have been expanded. Today, the need for these professionals is enhanced by the increasingly complex problems of our social and cultural context. The Faculty of Education, located on the Moncloa campus, has all the necessary resources for the implementation of Social Education studies with a guarantee of quality: library, amphitheater, fixed seating room, grades room, fixed seating classrooms, movable seating classroom , laboratories, workshops, study rooms, gymnasium, music classrooms, etc.
