The integrated approach of the Doctoral Program in Geography , which is based on the conceptual and methodological bases of the three areas of knowledge of Geography -Regional Geographic Analysis, Physical Geography and Human Geography-, allows configuring an adequate offer to the current demand for fundamental and applied research . The insertion of the issues addressed within the framework of the duality of territorial models versus development models is a point of reference in the search for solutions to pressing problems at different territorial scales (global, regional and local). Similarly, from the perspective of demand, a response will be given not only to national students, but also to foreign students -particularly from Latin America and Asia- who set their expectations in this program since their enrollment in the Master's studies and who come from very different backgrounds. different social sciences –Economics, Sociology, Political Sciences, Information Sciences, etc.- and natural –Biology, Geology, etc.-.
