The Master's Degree in Archaeological Research is justified by the academic importance achieved by this discipline in recent years, supported by a wide and growing research activity that it generates by itself, and the product of which is a series of theories and models of analysis that They serve to understand the historical evolution, both national and international, of human societies from Prehistory to the present, as well as intercultural transfers. One of the objectives and challenges of the archaeological discipline today is to generate knowledge closely linked to the needs of today's society, as a tool made available to the population as a whole. The master addresses a subject that is different from the Degree in Archeology and complementary to it, constituting this a logical continuation of the degree studies (Archeology, History and History of Art), so that, once they have passed these, the students can begin of research and receive specialized training that facilitates their professional and personal advancement, opening the way to the research period of the Doctorate.

Admission Requirements

If you come from an EU country you must have a bachelor's degree from a Spanish university, or from a university in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

If you are a graduate from outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) you can access the university without the need to officially certify your degree, once the UCM has verified that your level of studies is equivalent to a bachelor's degree at a university in Spain. Access via this route does not in any case imply the official certification of your degree prior to starting your Masters course.
