The Master's Degree in Parliamentary Law, Elections and Legislative Studies is the result of collaboration between the Department of Constitutional Law of the Faculty of Law of the UCM, with extensive experience in training doctors, and the Institute of Parliamentary Law, created by an agreement between the UCM and the Congress of Deputies, which has a consolidated line of research on parliamentary and electoral law and legislative procedures and studies and an extensive program of activities. The master is aimed both at recent graduates in the field of Social and Legal Sciences, and at Law professionals who, after having acquired professional experiences, wish  to obtain additional training in the subjects of Parliamentary Law, Elections and Procedures, and Legislative Studies. It is specially designed to receive European and Latin American students. The master can be taken full time (in a single course) or part time (divided into two courses), to adapt to the needs of different types of students. It is an official degree, subject to public verification programs, which means that students who complete the master's degree will obtain an official degree adapted to the EHEA that gives access to the doctoral programs of the UCM.

Admission Requirements

If you come from an EU country you must have a bachelor's degree from a Spanish university, or from a university in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

If you are a graduate from outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) you can access the university without the need to officially certify your degree, once the UCM has verified that your level of studies is equivalent to a bachelor's degree at a university in Spain. Access via this route does not in any case imply the official certification of your degree prior to starting your Masters course.
