The Degree in Video Game Development is conceived as an adaptation of the Degree in Computer Engineering that includes specific content on the characteristics of the hardware and software used in the development of video games. During the degree, students learn what the process of video game development is, which professionals are involved and, among them, they specialize in those related to Computer Science. Although this means that the degree has a technical nature, the artistic part of this industry is not forgotten, thanks to subjects taught by professors from the Faculty of Fine Arts, nor the leisure and business aspects, with subjects on video game design. and digital business. The degree is organized in four academic years (240 ECTS) and is taught in Spanish and in person. The Faculty of Computer Science of the Complutense University of Madrid is a pioneer in Spain in the training of professionals for the video game industry. The Faculty has been teaching uninterruptedly since the 2004-2005 academic year the postgraduate title "Master in Video Game Development" which has trained a good number of professionals in the video game industry since then and has led to teachers involved in the delivery of the degree have a close relationship with the industrial fabric of this sector.
