The course trains professionals to work in the area of women's health by developing care and health promotion actions, especially during prenatal care, normal delivery and postpartum.
The professional trained by the course can provide assistance to pregnant women, newborns and communities, thus collaborating to reduce maternal mortality and rates of operative deliveries.
It can work in maternity wards, birth centers, normal delivery centers, outpatient clinics, offices, health units, homes and in public and private health institutions, in addition to working with teaching and research development.
The School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities (EACH) is one of the youngest schools at USP. It has a unique organizational structure and is not divided into academic departments. The aim of the School is to prepare professionals and researchers to develop a complex vision of society, culture and science.
