The Graduate Program in Botany at the University of São Paulo has the primary objective of training highly qualified human resources for teaching and research.
The program has six main lines that permeate the most important subareas of knowledge in Botany:
- Anatomy of Vascular Plants;
- Systems Biology;
- Biology of Plant Development;
- Algae Biology;
- Vegetal Economic Resources;
- Systematics, Evolution and Biogeography of Vascular Plants.
In the last four-year evaluation by Capes (2013-2016) we received a maximum score of 7, confirming the excellence of our Postgraduate Studies for this four-year period. According to CAPES, “The program is today one of the leaders in the formation of human resources for research and Graduate Studies in Botany”.
