The Graduate Program in Nursing at the University of São Paulo (PPGE) is one of the pioneering graduate programs in the field of Nursing in Brazil. The Master's Course began in 1973 and the Doctorate in 1989. Since its creation, more than four decades ago, it has awarded more than 900 Masters and almost 300 Doctors, several of them from other countries, especially in Latin America.
Given its pioneering spirit, many of the current coordinators of Postgraduate Nursing Programs implemented in the different geographic regions of the country and Latin America were trained by the PPGE. Due to its multidisciplinary nature, in addition to nurses, the PPGE has graduates from different professional categories such as lawyers, physiotherapists, doctors, nutritionists, psychologists, occupational therapists, among others.
