The Professional Master's Program in Entomology in Public Health (PPG-ESP), which began in 2015, aims to train professionals with knowledge about taxonomic identification, bioecology and control of arthropods of interest in Public Health, as well as the epidemiology of diseases in that these bodies are involved. It was evaluated in its first accreditation with concept 4 by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes).
The PMP-ESP selection process is annual and takes place in three phases:
- First phase – proof of proficiency in English
- Second phase - analysis of the candidate's pre-research project and curriculum vitae
- Third phase – questioning of the candidate, in which the potential to develop the theme of his pre-project and availability to attend the program disciplines are evaluated
