The Graduate Program in Adult Health Nursing (PROESA) of the USP School of Nursing, was born from the merger of the Concentration Areas "Fundamentals of Nursing" and "Institutionalized Adult Health Nursing", previously belonging to the Graduate Program - Graduation in Nursing from the School of Nursing of the University of São Paulo (EEUSP).
PROESA 's core is the development of studies on advanced nursing care models and practices. PROESA 's Master's and Doctorate Courses are recommended and recognized by CAPES with Grade 7.
PROESA's mission is to train human resources of excellence in research at the Academic Master's (MA), Doctorate (DO) and Post-Doctor (PosDoc) levels, through the training of nurses and other health professionals for the production processes of knowledge, scientific updating and improvement in care technologies, within the scope of Adult Health Nursing, integrating knowledge of nursing science with that of other disciplines. As a profile of graduates, it is expected that they will be able to boost research, education and care in advanced clinical practices, within the legal and ethical scope of the profession.
