The program offers master's and doctoral students extensive training in teaching and research in different areas of knowledge in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The program's interdisciplinarity is based on the excellent and highly diversified scientific training of its researchers. Thus, it offers disciplines and research opportunities in two main areas:

  • Medicines and Cosmetics
  • Natural and Synthetic Products

In this way, the program covers the entire drug production chain, including the production and chemical, physical and biological evaluation of natural and synthetic products, crystallographic and structural properties of macromolecules, fundamental processes in physical-chemistry and molecular modeling, the development of drugs and medicines, cosmetics and pharmaceutical processes, quality control, evaluating the effectiveness of medicines and cosmetics, and drug use and pharmaceutical practice.

The graduate student of the program, due to the training in teaching and research received, will be able to pursue an academic and research career in different areas of knowledge in Pharmaceutical Sciences in teaching and research institutions, as well as be able to engage in pharmaceutical, cosmetics and regulatory bodies governmental.
