The FCFRP/USP Pharmacy course is a full-time, 5-year course and has different admission possibilities (click HERE to find out more ). The current curriculum was developed considering the skills needed to exercise the profession, through a curriculum established in modules and permeating multidisciplinary content. Such pedagogical adequacy innovates by attending to the teaching of a profession whose area of ​​activity is very vast, with more than 70 existing branches of activity. In addition, it helps the pharmaceutical professional trained at FCFRP/USP to acquire ethical and humanized characteristics, essential to the exercise of health professions.

The pharmacist trained here will be able to work in several areas, some of them are:

  • Pharmaceuticals, medicines and cosmetics: from research, testing of active principles, manufacturing, production and quality control, to the moment of sale to the final consumer with proper guidance and follow-up to the patient regarding use. This can happen in drugstores, industries, hospitals, basic health units, private clinics and other environments.
  • Clinical analysis: execution, coordination and analysis of the most diverse types of samples in the health area.
  • Food: analysis of substances from food in the human body and in food quality control.
  • Environmental: control of water and soil.
  • Management: administration of health establishments, including having the opportunity to open your own drugstore, compounding pharmacy, clinical analysis laboratory, etc.
  • Sales: commercialization of medicines in general;
  • Sanitary surveillance: analysis and quality control of medicines, laboratory supplies or foodstuffs of sanitary interest.
