In view of the concern for the training and practice of professionals in the health area, the Professional Master 's Interdisciplinary Training in Health, created in 2014, is an inter-unit program composed of the Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Public Health, School of Nursing and Institute of Psychology, in addition to the participation of professors from the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and School of Physical Education and Sports. It is part of the set of initiatives that have been developed by the Health Units of the Capital campus, in response to the inducing action of the Ministries of Health and Education, with a view to training qualified professionals in the Health area.

Its purpose is the production of scientific, technological and innovative knowledge in the area of ​​​​health education, through strategies for the consolidation of the Unified Health System (SUS) and for postgraduate training.

The production of knowledge is focused on themes related to the lines of research of:

  • Health training
  • Health knowledge and practices
  • Care and comprehensiveness in health care networks

The program lasts 36 months, provides for the preparation of the dissertation and an educational product that serves as a contribution and fomentation of subsidies for the practice in the services in which they are inserted. It is part of the large multidisciplinary area, the teaching area, of CAPES and its graduates obtain the title of Master in Science.
