The Graduate Program in Soils and Plant Nutrition aims to complete and improve the training of graduates in undergraduate courses and encourage scientific research, extension and teaching in the areas of 1) Physics, soil conservation and management ; 2) Soil biology; 3) Pedogenesis and soil geography, 4) Soil fertility and plant nutritional management and 5) Dynamics of organic matter and behavior of elements and toxic substances in the environment.

The postgraduate program in Soils and Plant Nutrition trains professionals to develop the necessary skills that allow them to work in teaching and research institutions, both in the private sector or public bodies that deal with agribusiness and environmental issues, preparing their students for a proper understanding of the physical, chemical, morphological, mineralogical and biological characteristics of soils, and their interaction with plants.
