The Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Applied Computing (PPG-CA), Academic Master's modality, has the general objective of training its graduates in the application of computing as a tool in solving problems related to the integration of computing with other areas of knowledge. Additionally, it is also the intention of the program to allow part of its students to focus on technological aspects of computing with potential application to science and engineering, seeking new solutions and approaches to computing problems as an end activity. Such convergence can be achieved through co-supervision and multidisciplinary work, activities that will be encouraged by the program.

The PPG-CA also aims at training professionals capable of developing research and teaching activities, enabling them to act with quality both in academia and industry, and in other sectors of society. To achieve this goal, students will receive a solid background in computing and also knowledge in the field of application, in addition to specific guidance in research methodology.
