In this way, the Program's professors have understood the uniqueness and responsibility of being part, in Brazil, of the only stricto sensu graduate program dedicated to Portuguese Literature,
Taking it from a more specific perspective, the Program aims at training higher-level teachers and researchers, intending to contribute effectively, through integration with graduation, to the training of teachers in primary and secondary education in Language and Literature Portuguese in Brazil.
