The Graduate Program in Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of São Paulo (FOUSP) has a faculty of 27 professors, 70% of whom work full-time in teaching and research (RDIDP).

In the latest CAPES assessments, it obtained a score of 5, attributed to courses of excellence at a national level.

The Master's course lasts a maximum of 24 months and the Doctorate course lasts 40 months, while the Direct Doctorate course should not exceed 48 months. The course is based on disciplines that support the development of projects and lines of research. The didactic internships are part of the students' training. Upon completing the disciplines and qualifying exam, the student is able to develop his dissertation (Master's) or thesis (Doctorate) work. Our graduates become absolutely qualified as Professors and/or Researchers able to develop their work in academia or in the private sector.

The infrastructure has research laboratories available for the development of Postgraduate projects: Basic Research Laboratory “Prof. doctor Edmir Matson”; Research Laboratory Applied to Dentistry “Prof. doctor Lincoln Steagal”; Special Laser Laboratory in Dentistry – Lelo, Oral Biochemistry Research Center; Composite Laboratory; Finite Element Laboratory; Test Body Preparation Laboratory; Laboratory of Mechanical Tests; Laboratory of Oral Biology (LBO) and Vivarium.
