The PPG-MAT annually offers a large number of disciplines – around 30 – that are distributed in the areas of concentration of the program to meet the diversity of mathematical interests of the students of the program who, depending on their academic performance, can obtain financial support from the Capes and CNPq.

The Program is structured based on its areas of concentration, lines of research and projects. The areas of focus of the program are:

  • Algebra,
  • Analysis and Dynamic Systems,
  • Geometry and Algebraic Topology,
  • Logic, Sets, General and Combinatorial Topology.

The numerous activities of such large areas, such as their various seminars, which take place regularly and are often attended by visiting professors, can be found on the various featured websites maintained by the groups. The members of the research groups coordinate or participate in Fapesp Thematic projects, Interinstitutional projects and other regular projects and their members have publications of international impact.
