The Graduate Course in Veterinary Surgical Clinic began its activities as an Experimental Surgery Course in the 1980s, as an option included in the Animal Reproduction course, initially qualifying Masters. Later, in 1992, as an isolated course, it was accredited at master's and doctoral levels and was renamed the Surgery Course. More recently, in order to adapt to its mission, it was renamed the Graduate Program in Veterinary Surgical Clinic.
It has a modern infrastructure for research, carried out in the Scientific Investigation Laboratories of the Department of Surgery, and five specialized Services at the Veterinary Hospital for clinical application studies.
It operates with an excellent body of accredited professors as advisors.
