The Postgraduate Program in Medical Sciences, of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo, was created in 2007 with the levels of Doctorate and Master, when, to the Clinical Emergencies Program, the Rheumatology and Hematology Programs and Professors from other areas of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of USP were added. The creation of this Program allowed professors to take shelter in a Program focused on quality research and the training of professors and researchers, with an interdisciplinary view of research. Today, the Program houses professors from other Departments of our Faculty and also from other Institutions.
The Program currently has 5 areas of concentration
- Immune and Infectious
- Processes – Inflammatory and Allergic Processes
- Genetic, Developmental and Metabolic
- Disorders – Cellular Growth, Hemodynamic and Hemostasis Disorders
- Education and Health
