The Integrated Graduate Program in Bioenergy is the result of a cooperation agreement between the three state universities of São Paulo: University of São Paulo (USP), State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP). It is a stricto sensu inter-institutional graduate program aimed at knowledge generation, and is aimed at training human resources of international excellence for teaching, research and professional activity, in the various areas of knowledge covered.
The doctors formed by the program will be able to face the international challenges contained in the replacement of fossil fuels by those originating from biomass, both in the production and consumption of these fuels. They will be able to lead research projects in the area of Bioenergy in higher education university institutions, to produce technological advances in industries essential to the country's development, to formulate public policies for the growth of Bioenergy in the Brazilian energy matrix and to actively participate in the process of international insertion of the country in global energy issues.
