This course is offered by EESC-USP together with the Institute of Mathematical and Computing Sciences (ICMC-USP). The computer engineer works in the scientific and technological interface between electrical/electronic engineering and computer science and can work in areas related to the design and development of personal and large computers, as well as in small systems, such as embedded systems and Internet of Things (loT). It can also operate in local, metropolitan and wide area networks; communication between and by computers; computer vision; artificial intelligence; schedule; database modeling; systems management; satellite communication; fixed and mobile telephony; optical communications systems; robotics and control systems; voice, sound and image processing for medical, industrial and entertainment; integrated circuit design and development of computer-aided tools.
