The Graduate Program in Otorhinolaryngology at FMUSP has been in existence since 1978, but was profoundly reformulated in 2000. Its objective is to train researchers capable of designing and developing research projects, generating new knowledge and training teachers for teaching and research institutions.
We offer the course at the Academic Masters and Doctorate level and we have already awarded 19 masters and 184 doctors, being the main human resources training center in the area.
We encourage physicians to enroll directly in the Doctorate, since they already have reasonable training in research acquired during their training in the 3 years of medical residency. The master's degree was reactivated in 2006 especially for non-physicians (speech therapists, psychologists, biologists, bio-engineers, dentists, among others), who develop projects that complement investigations in the different research lines of the program.
