The Graduate Program in Agricultural Systems Engineering (PPGESA) was implemented in 2011, at ESALQ/USP, originating from the merger of three former renowned ESALQ/USP Programs: PPG in Agricultural Environment Physics, PPG in Irrigation and Drainage and PPG in Agricultural Machines. The fusion of these three correlated areas resulted in a remodeled and differentiated PPG in relation to other centers of Agricultural Sciences in Brazil, standing out in the national and international academic environment. The program relies on international agreements and partnerships, which continue to expand rapidly, providing exchange opportunities for Graduate Students and professors, which has been raising the quality of the research carried out.
PPGESA operates along the frontiers of knowledge and innovation, and positions itself as an important training center for human resources for other national and international universities and companies. PPGESA 's lines of research are characterized by being groupings of activities, differentiated by approach and not by discipline, with aspects of transversality.
