The Graduate Program in Civil Engineering - PPGEC - aims to train Masters and Doctors capable of detecting the relevant needs of Brazilian society and propose innovative solutions and methods in the areas of Civil and Urban Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering. The Program aims to train leading researchers to work both in academic teaching and research activities and in applied research in the industrial and market sectors.
The postgraduate course at the Master's level aims at mastering and carrying out technical-scientific work in a specific area of knowledge. Under supervision of the advisor, the candidate must develop research activities and, autonomously, systematize the acquired knowledge.
