The course aims to provide the student with the necessary subsidies to reach the desired professional profile, through the development of essential skills and competences for the proper exercise of the Bachelor of Physical Education profession.

The specific objectives of the emphasis on “Physical Education and Health” aim to train future professionals to:

  • Identify health risks related to physical inactivity;
  • Know different diseases and deficiencies and identify the appropriate physical exercise for prevention or as a complementary resource to therapy;
  • Develop within a critical-reflective context physical exercise programs for health promotion;

The specific objectives of the emphasis on “Sport” aim to train future professionals to:

  • Acting in the development, promotion and evaluation of sports programs, and properly applying basic and specific knowledge in the various segments of society and meeting the specificities of the life cycle;
  • Carry out activities related to sports culture within the spectrum of sports training;
  • Offer basic foundations for professional exercise in high-level sports training.
