The speech therapist is a health and education professional. It is responsible for health promotion, prevention, evaluation and diagnosis, guidance, treatment (habilitation and rehabilitation) and improvement of speech therapy aspects of auditory and vestibular function, oral and written language, voice, fluency, speech articulation and myofunctional orofacial, cervical and swallowing systems. The Course, with 30 vacancies per year, takes place during the day (full time) and offers, over four years, training that covers training in scientific research, for health promotion and prevention of human communication pathologies, for the evaluation and phonoaudiological diagnosis, as well as for planning and conducting clinical-therapeutic and rehabilitation processes.
