The Interinstitutional Graduate Program in Statistics UFSCar-USP (PIPGEs) was started in 2013 from an association between the research groups of Probability and Statistics of the Department of Statistics of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and the Department of ICMC Applied Mathematics and Statistics.
The main objective of PIPGEs is the training of researchers with direct action in the modeling, description and estimation of random phenomena, as well as their application in areas such as industry, medicine, biology, among others. To this end, the Program offers two levels of training: Master's and Doctorate, and encourages an excellent scientific environment through regular research seminars, the Workshop on Probabilistic and Statistical Methods and the Summer Program in Statistics.
