The Graduate Program in Sciences – Collective Health at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo, created in 1972, is one of the oldest in the country. It offers Academic Master's and Doctorate degrees for professionals who work and/or are interested in the area of ​​Collective Health, regardless of their original university education.

Its outstanding trajectory qualifies it as a program of excellence in the country, having received the maximum score (seven) in the CAPES Assessment in the 2010-2012 period and maintained it in the 2013-2016 period.

The program is organized around the three major areas of knowledge that make up Collective Health: Epidemiology, Social and Human Sciences in Health and Health Policy, Planning, Management and Evaluation in Health.

The PPGSC's interdisciplinary environment integrates distinguished professors in national and international academic production. The program maintains traditional cooperation with national and international organizations and universities in the field of health and encourages international exchanges, whether in research internships abroad for students or in double degree agreements.
